Brave Book Buddies

Our photo Talk stories we created using
Brave Book Hero pictures as a part of our
Intensive Oral Language this term,
Jack was a smart clever boy. He cut the bean stalk and made the enormous giant fall down into his Mother’s garden. BOOM! fell the giant. Jack was the hero because he  made a clever plan and saved himself from the giant and got the golden hen.

The witch was mixing and making some food in a big pot. She wanted to put Hansel in and cook him for a meal. Hansel put a chicken bone out of the cage and said, “I am too skinny for you to eat me.” The witch thought it was his finger because she could not see very well. Clever Hansel.

Hansel and Gretel got lost in the forest. They found a lolly house. They started eating lollies and candies. The witch saw the children and came out of the house and said “Come in children, I will look after you.”

ROAD SAFETY - with Constable Cam

We started our term learning about Road Safety.

Constable Cam visited us and took us out to show how to cross a road and be safe on the road.
We learnt about the signs and markings on the road.
We created a verb story as a part of our IOL -
We stopped on the footpath. We looked to left and looked to the right. When there's no cars coming, we walked safely to cross the road.
"Constable Cam, there's no cars coming , I think we can cross the road now,. Let's walk across."

< Holding hands and walking on the footpath.

< Crossing road with an adult.

"There's no cars coming our from the driveway, let's walk now"

< Looking for cars - Sneaky driveways

Car seat belt - we went for a ride in constable Cam's Police car.

"Make it click, put on your seat belt and be safe."
