Making Bird houses
In Room 9 we have been learning about why we want birds to visit our garden and help birds to move out of our roof so they can be safe by living in bird houses.
We made bird houses for birds. we will hang some of our bird houses in our school garden. we will make sure to put some grains and a water cup for the birds to eat and drink.
We painted it, then we used leaves, dry grass, hay, sticks and glued them on the top of the bird houses.

We used cardboard to make a box. Then we made a hole in the cardboard for the bird to go inside.

We used leaves, hay, sticks and dry bark to stick on our bird houses, so the birds can feel comfy like in a nest.

Brave Book Buddies
Our photo Talk stories we created using
Brave Book Hero pictures as a part of our
Intensive Oral Language this term,
Jack was a smart clever boy. He
cut the bean stalk and made the enormous giant fall down into his Mother’s
garden. BOOM! fell the giant. Jack was the hero because he
made a clever plan and saved himself from the giant and got the golden
hen.
The witch was
mixing and making some food in a big pot. She wanted to put Hansel in and cook him for a meal. Hansel put a chicken
bone out of the cage and said, “I am too skinny for you to eat me.” The witch
thought it was his finger because
she could not see very well. Clever Hansel.
Hansel and Gretel
got lost in the forest. They found a lolly house. They started eating lollies
and candies. The witch saw the children and came out of the house and said “Come
in children, I will look after you.”
