In Room 9, we have been learning to retell stories using describing words. We also created a scene setting diorama using playdough and cardboard. We made a Gruffalo and other animals in the story.
This is a video of us retelling the Gruffalo story.
Stop Motion Animation with Room 6
We made a stop motion animation with the help of Room 6 children. They helped us to make these animations about the Gruffalo.
Hi Room 9. We like how you kept your hands out of the photos for your stop motion animation. This reminds us of when we read books out loud when we were younger. Keep working on reading smoothly. From Room 3.

From Viliami - " Mr. Margetts, what does reading smoothly mean?"
Kia ora Room 9 creators,
ReplyDeleteI am super impressed with both your retelling of the Gruffalo story and your animations. The Gruffalo story is one of my favourites and I used to read it HEAPS when my children were small. You read with such great expression. Did you have fun creating the Gruffalo with playdough?
